pagebloom's shopping cart system now supports promotional code/coupon style discounts. Typically you would send out an email newsletter or a traditional letter box drop specifying a promotional code. When ordering, customers who enter the correct promotional code will receive the specified discount.

The promotional code/coupon discount system has two major benefits:

• Discounts encourage sales
• By assigning a unique promotional code to each different campaign you can track the success of individual marketing campaigns.

To create a new promotion and set up its code click on the 'promotions' link in the Products | Management admin screen.
