That's right: With pagebloom's new 'compact order' SMS format you can receive your orders while you work without the need to have a computer connected to the internet at your premises. Your orders appear right there on your mobile phone screen and the orders have already been paid for so  you and your staff don't need to worry about handling cash and carrying change for that customer who likes paying you in $100 bills!

Your order details are summarized so that they can fit within an SMS. Sometimes larger orders may need to be sent as multiple SMSes but most modern phones join multiple SMSes into one seamless message for easy reading.

Operating Hours Order Restriction for Restaurants and Take Away Shops

Obviously if the system allowed people to place orders while your business is closed then you have a problem. Restaurants and take away businesses in pagebloom are automatically configured to work with the operating hours that you specify in the Operating Hours form under the Organization menu in the administration area. Orders can not be placed outside these hours. There is even a 'close off advance' feature that allows you to specify the number of minutes before closing time that you wish to not accept any more orders. By default this is set to 15 minutes before closing time but you can adjust this setting.
